During Hunger Action Month this September, Northrop Grumman will make a powerful and visible statement regarding its employees’ effort to help end hunger across the world during their Northrop Grumman Global Giving Campaign. Northrop Grumman understands the power of collective giving and how impactful we are when we unite to help those in need who lack educational opportunities and suffer from hunger. We strengthen the world in which we live through volunteerism and a commitment to service.
One in nine people on the planet go to bed hungry each night. Northrop Grumman, in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, has set a goal to pack over 200,000 meals at 10 locations across the country. In addition to the food pack, employees will also have the opportunity to raise awareness for the fight to end hunger through social media and giving.
Throughout the month, employees are encouraged to post photos of their volunteer activity lifting up those in need worldwide via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #volunteer1ng. For every mention and pictured shared, Northrop Grumman will contribute $10 to Rise Against Hunger.
Employees can also make a contribution to Rise Against Hunger to further the impact of this project or learn more about Rise Against Hunger and their food programs around the world by going here.
