About Us
Rise Against Hunger Atlanta was founded in 2010 and serves the Georgia, Eastern Alabama, and Chattanooga regions. Through 2016, more than 160,000 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including The United Methodist Church, Turner Broadcasting System and Georgia Institute of Technology, have helped build the local movement to end global hunger. In this region alone, through 2016, 24 million meals have been packaged to benefit 20+ countries.
Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome volunteers to come assist with the behind-the-scenes projects that make our meal packaging events possible. Projects include labeling bags, washing dishes and preparing materials for upcoming events. Our volunteer hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Since we want to effectively utilize your service, we ask you to schedule your volunteer experience in advance. Please contact our coordinator, Chelsea Wood, at cwood@riseagainsthungerindia.org.
