Stop Hunger Now Partners with Kamado Grille

Kamado Grille LogoKamado Grille, the newest restaurant experience in Raleigh, NC, is teaming up with Stop Hunger Now in the fight against hunger. 125 Kamado Grille team members will package more than 17,000 meals for the world’s hungry on April 22, 2015 at 832 Springfield Commons Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609 (corner of Spring Forest Road and Falls of Neuse Road) at 2:00 PM. Stop Hunger Now meal packaging events are a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.
“I am a firm believer in abundant giving and helped create Kamado Grille to be able to give back more,” says Joe Dunn, co-founder of Kamado Grille. “We have been blessed with so much and we should utilize our God-given talents, skills and abilities to give more to others.” Kamado Grille co-founder, Tom Allen, added, “Stop Hunger Now has made me aware of the need throughout the world to end hunger and we have devoted our philanthropic efforts toward Stop Hunger Now to truly make a difference. At Kamado Grille, we exist in order to make the world a happier, healthier and better place. We just happen to serve amazing food.”
Kamado Grille is an establishment that stands for something much more than a restaurant. The Kamado Grille team views their establishment very simply as a vehicle for giving back. Kamado Grille also believes in providing significance to everyone they touch: team members, the community where they operate, their purveyor/partners and their guests.
“Kamado Grille team members constantly strive to selflessly give to others without looking for anything in return,” says Joe Dunn. Tom Allen also added, “During the restaurant’s soft opening, we’re offering the community that we serve the ability to try out the wonderful cuisine free of charge. We are asking customers for voluntary donations which will be donated to Stop Hunger Now.”
“We’re thrilled that Kamado Grille is partnering with Stop Hunger Now as their vehicle to make the world a happier, healthier, and better place. Hunger is solvable and is the common thread among the world’s most challenging issues. When hunger is targeted, you give leverage and hope to every other cause including poverty, disease, education and the welfare of women and children,” said Rod Brooks, President and CEO of Stop Hunger Now.
